The prime
reason behind the Gold Souk"s failure is its location. It is located far
away from Jaipur's traditional jewellery markets. People of Jaipur and
tourists coming in the city prefer to shop at traditional places like
Johari Bazaar and MI Road. Thus, most of the city based jewellers shied
away from investing in the mall because they feared that the mall will
not attract footfalls.
