The International Gemological Institute (IGI) – the world’s largest
independent laboratory for testing and grading gemstones and fine
jewelry – recently launched its ''Young Gemologist'' summer workshop, an
introductory half-day session designed for students between the ages of
10 and 15, in Mumbai. After receiving overwhelming initial interest,
and enrolling 30 participants in its first course on May 21, the IGI
School of Gemology has expanded the program into a regular, ongoing
weekend offering.
