AOJ News : Pink Diamond fetches $9.5mn at Christie's

Fancy colored diamonds sparkled again at auction, particularly pink ones. This time it was Christie’s New York Important Jewels sale held Tuesday that attracted buyers for statement diamonds of colour. The top lot was a 5.50-carat oval-cut fancy vivid pink diamond with VVS1 clarity that sold for more than US $9.5 million (more than US $1.7 million per carat), besting the high estimate of US $7.5 million. Read more : http://goo.gl/W1cDN3
