Exports of cut and polished diamonds from India remained virtually flat in July 2016, rising by a marginal 0.85%, year-on-year. The country exported US$ 1.652 billion worth of goods as compared to the US$ 1.638 bn in the same month a year ago, according to the provisional data released by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).
