"We
met CBDT Chairperson Mr Shushil Chandra to appeal that we gold traders are
getting taxed for inflationary gain which is pretty high due to new mandatory
method of closing stock valuation. We also met CBEC Chairperson Mr Nazeeb Shah
to request him to restrict GST rate not more than 2%. Also sum of custom duty
and GST should not be more than 8%. We
were given 30 minutes for each of this two meetings. We are hopeful of positive
results. "-
