There are several cases of gold smuggling and I am sure, authorities as well as industry have not shown great interest in curbing down such illegal practices. These kind of unfair trade practices are a real threat to jewellery business. Smuggling is hampering Indian jewellery market from ages but still, no firm steps have been taken to keep a close eye on such illegal activities. If it continues then Indian jewellery industry will be losing lot of money.
