US polished imports up 19% in April

US polished diamond imports rose 18.8 per cent year on year to US $2.032 billion in April, while the volume of polished goods was basically flat at 883,680 carats. Polished exports were flat year-on-year at US $1.606 billion, but net polished imports jumped to US $426 million compared with US $101 million one year ago.
