Indian Diamond Industry releases report on synthetics

India's Natural Diamond Monitoring Committee, formed to look into the scale of undisclosed mixing of synthetic diamonds with natural diamonds, says its research shows that the current annual production of gem-quality rough synthetic diamonds is less than 350,000 carats compared with over 125 million carats of natural gem-quality rough.
