Many decades ago, Hyderabad used to be known as- the City of Pearls. Not anymore. Over the past seven years, Hyderabad has rewritten its place in the history. Not content to be associated with pearls alone, today it has established its reign over all precious gems and jewellery.
This chapter began with the very first edition of Hitex International Gems & Jewellery Exposition, way back in 2004. Now, in 2012, HIGJE will reach a new pinnacle – its eighth edition –and the location could not be more befitting.
