#AOJQuote of the day 5th May 2017

“There are only 48 collecting and purity testing centres (CPTCs) in country, which is minuscule compared to volume of gold locked up in Indian households. IBJA has given a proposal where we have suggested jewellers to involve in GMS. We can give advance gold to the govt. for a extent of expected weekly collection and then rotate the same every week. The loss on account of melting, if any, will be borne by IBJA.” Surendra Mehta, National Secretary, India Bullion and Jewellers Association.
