The three-day AKGSMA stir has forced the Kerala Government to withdraw the Purchase Tax. A decision is likely to be taken to in the next Assembly meet this month itself. The Finance Minister of Kerala assured the jewellers that the correction would be made in the next sitting itself. The Association was sitting on a dharna for last three days against the Purchase Tax levied on jewellery items in Kerala.
