Setback to the industry
Good coverage on the excise issue! The excise levy is like a setback to the industry.The GJ industry is already paying a lot of taxes. In fact it is one of the highest revenue sources for the government. There is 10 per cent custom duty on gold and then VAT. The government has failed to justify the excise levy.
