Govt estimates that India is having 20,000 tons of gold. Even if we calculate that each year India is importing around 900 to 1000 tones, then for 20 years it accounts for 20,000 tonnes, excluding jewellery import. Imagine for hundreds of years, this much accumulated gold remained idle, which could have been mined and utilized. I wish the schemes offered should be welcomed by one and all.
